1. The Boondocks
2. The Daily Show/Colbert “repor”
3. Penn and Teller’s Bullshit
4. My Name is Earl
5. The Office
Runners up: Scrubs, Supernatural, The Ultimate Fighter (disqualified as reality TV but mentioned because I like it and two friends of aquantainces are on there), High Stakes Poker on GSN
Technical award: Las Vegas. There are more effects in an episode of Las Vegas then an episdode of Babylon 5, I swear. Really watch it some time. Make an effort to ignore all the meat on display. House would be on the list if something could be done to address its sameness.
NOTE: they are in no relative order
I still don’t go for Las Vegas.
And thanks for reminding me to get Bullshit. I keep forgetting.
i got tired of penn yelling at everyone for spinning things one way to make them seem right, only to have him spin them all the other way… to make them seem right. plus, he kinda makes me want to throw up in my mouth. but that’s just an anti-bonus.
my weekly tv is scrubs, office, earl, west wing (dead as of next week,) and CI, but only on weeks with the original cast. why’s everybody gotta fuck with my tv?
oh, and idol. but i’m not proud of it, baha.
i like your list, and i have the same complaint with house, though i still watch it all the time–i enjoy the dialogue more than anything. and supernatural kept me watching all season long–i hope they bring it back, especially after that infuriating ending they stuck us with. so unfair to leave me in turmoil like that… but the last few episodes were fucking awesome.
yeah the older brother can’t really act but his character makes up for it by being violent and non-ironically enjoying metal. At the climax of the season finale, I was actually on edge over rather he’d take that shot or not as it seemed like it would change the fate of the show so much . . .it’s like buffy the vampire slayer, if they lived in a world where they couldn’t somehow just get away with all the crap that buffy and the gang got away with all the time. . .
never seen the Penn and Teller thing… but hells yeah on the rest of the list. (funny, I thought I was the only person that liked The Office.)
