So. There is this show called the boondocks, based on the comic of the same name.
Here is something about the word boondocks.
Boondocks is originally a tagalog word (bunduk) for mountains.
That is how it came to mean “Out in the sticks” – when it was used by philipinos speaking to american soliders to explain where other philipinos were from.
So there.
Hmm…I always knew what it meant, but didn’t know where it came from. I knew I read this site for a reason
out in ville des ruches. au fin au fin au fin, pis encore au fin.
I just got a history lesson about my own country. what a strange feeling. did you know we used yo-yos to fight people off? :fun: and we prefer it “filipinos”… hell if i know why.
Is the show any good? I love the comic strip. But I don’t have cable anymore. I only get NBC and ABC. Sad, huh? Not really.
bill used to ride the boonie bus.
back when our town had boonies.

cool. I still haven’t seen the show, but love the comic.
Haven’t been able to catch the show yet.
